At the end of the summer, we made a trip to New York to visit my parents. I really wanted to make sure we got up to see them before they are done with their mission (18 months goes by so quickly when you are not the one on a mission). My mom and dad were anxious for a break from the big city life, so we made plans to visit The Catskills. But we did take a quick walk around the city on the afternoon we flew into town.
We went to the top of Mom and Dad's apartment building (38 floors, I think) to enjoy the view of the city.
Then we walked across town to enjoy mounds and mounds of meat at the Carnegie Deli. The corned beef sandwiches were huge and tasty. The cheesecake was to die for.
Love the city pics but the one of central park is my fav. Hope to go there someday!

You have posted pictures of New York that I have never seen in print or in life...not that I have seen much and almost nothing from the air. I know your parents enjoyed having their family visit. It must be lonely at times to be so far from people and places that they love and enjoy.
