Now that we are pretty much settled back here in Houston, Helmut was anxious to get a square foot garden going. Sarah was also looking to join the square foot garden club as well. So we all set out to Home Depot to procure the needed supplies. After an additional trip to Plant for All Seasons and Ace Hardware, we actually had what we needed. Helmut did most of the actual building of the raised garden table, but Sarah and I helped where we could. Plus we painted the whole dang thing, and we did a quality job of it. We were also tasked with the job of mixing the compost together in a large tarp, which is way harder than it may sound.
It has been over a month since we finished up and Helmut got everything planted and the garden is flourishing. We have had two tasty tomatoes and lots of cucumbers perfect for pickling. I haven't pickled anything yet, but I fully intend to. I look forward to a summer filled with glorious fresh vegetables.

I love your gardens. I was feeling jealous of your gardens when I was there but now that I'm back home I can report that I have huge stuff growing in my gardens too. I love this stuff.
