After five months of next to no precipitation here in lovely Houston, it is raining! I can remember when I was growing up overhearing the adults sitting around talking about rain or drought or how hot it was. My only thought at the time was, "You people are so old and boring." Yep, now I am one of those old and boring people. Deal with it. I have been anxious for the rain to come mostly for a hope of some relief from this oppressive heat. If I had to get in the car at 5 AM and see 80+ degrees on the dashboard one more time, I was going to go crazy.
So hallalujah! The rain has come!
BTW, it is super hard to capture rain in an image.
